May I use this or one of your other sketches for concept?  I'll be turning in a hard surface 3D build of, at least, one of the arms.  May try to accomplish the whole Mech for my final, but not sure if I can pull it off.  I'll be sure to post screen shots of it on here for you as well, if you'd like to add them to your portfolio.  (as a reference to what your work can and will accomplish)  Know that I will give you full artistic credit for original concept and inspiration.

Hi there!

First of all, thank you very much for choosing my work to be an inspiration.

Yes, you may use this as concept, i hope you can score nice grade and finish the whole mech! :)

I'll be adding the work to my portofolio and add your name to the credit too!

Note me when you do any progress or have completed the work, i'll take this one as a collab if you don't mind.

Regards, KKDD

Thank you, I'll make sure to keep you posted on the progress.  I'm starting rough modeling tonight, and I'll have a few screen shots up for you by Friday.  If you'd like and explode of all modeled parts, included in a turntable of the model, contact me at mgd400@yahoo.com and we can work out details.  Also, I read your comment about the shoulder being a design in progress, I believe a U-Joint would allow a full 360 deg rotation, and a 90 -120 deg shoulder bend.  Allowing for more motion than a human is even capable of, giving the option of blocking overhead with a sword, something many Mech designs are lacking.

Oay then, have fun and good luck with the project! :D.

I think so too, an U-joint would make it more flexible, but i stopped working on this mech long ago, so i didn't really make the revision.

Awesome design.
It vaguely reminds me of lost planet.

I find it interesting how you handled the shoulder joint, don't think it would be optimal regarding mobility, though.

Thank you, in fact i was inspired by lost planet 2 when i'm doodling this, so you are correct :) and yeah, the shoulder is a bit experimental, i wanted to use something that is not too mainstream, though i must consider the effectiveness too...:D
